Is Your Business ready to join gen nbn™?

Welcome to gen nbn™, the national broadband network nbn™ is designed to help you connect more devices at greater speeds than ever before.

The nbn co ltd.’s network rollout is already here and will be available in 8 million homes and businesses by 2020. To check its availability in your area, enter your address in the search box and click the search icon. You may also filter results by state or territory, and rollout status.

Why Migrate to nbn™?

All Australian homes and businesses are required to migrate to the nbn co ltd.’s network. Once your address is declared ready, you’ll have up to 18 months to coordinate with your provider to switch your landline phone and internet services to nbn™. nbn co ltd. will also inform you by direct mail. At the end of the 18-month period, your current services will be disconnected, although these will be available for another 6 months if you already ordered a switch prior to the disconnection date.

But aside from being mandatory, nbn™ will allow you to make crystal clear calls using VoIP technology. It also means you’ll be able to enjoy other benefits of VoIP like lower call charges and rental line fees, and the ability to expand your call capacity with ease without having to switch to new handsets or landline numbers (subject to your existing carrier).

Need to make video conference calls? Want to watch videos in 4K? nbn™ delivers speeds of up to 100Mbps and won’t just enable you to connect more devices at once, but also stream video with excellent clarity.

How nbn™ Gets You Connected

Whether via a physical line or wirelessly, nbn™ determines the best way to get you connected based on the existing network and your location. Watch the videos below to find out more about the ways nbn™ gives you access to fast broadband services.
Disclaimer

We update data in our network rollout map every week. While we do our best to keep information up-to-date, some, such as rollout areas and boundaries, may change without prior notice as construction planning is finalised.

*Services provided over the nbn™ network will be replacing phone and internet services provided over most of the existing landline networks, including copper and the majority of HFC networks within the fixed line footprint. Services provided over existing fibre networks (including in-building, health and education networks) and some special and business services may not be affected. To find out if your services will be affected, please contact us on 1300 747 266 or go direct to the source and visit www.nbnco.com.au/switchoff or call 1800 687 626.
