In December 2020 Panasonic announced it would close its global business communications operation and walk away from the phone system market — and its KX range, including the KX-NS1000, KX-NS700, KX-NS300, KX-TDE, KX-TDA and KX-NCP, has been discontinued. The honest situation
Let's be straight about what this does and doesn't mean. Your Panasonic system won't stop working tomorrow — discontinuation means no new sales and no further development, not a remote shutdown. But manufacturing of Panasonic PBX hardware was wound down by around 2022, and new hardware supply through the channel had ceased by early 2023. The older KX-TDE, KX-TDA and KX-NCP platforms reached end of life years before the formal exit, superseded by the KX-NS series and long left without active development. In plain terms: you're running a system the maker has stopped enhancing, on a platform with no future. Waiting doesn't save money — it just shrinks your options and raises the odds of a forced, rushed cutover.

Is my Panasonic KX system still supported?
Panasonic stopped developing and selling its KX range new, and new hardware supply through the channel ceased by early 2023. Panasonic's original closure communications committed to spare and service parts for a period afterwards, and third-party parts support continues in the channel — but the platform itself is no longer enhanced, so any future fault or vulnerability is unlikely to be fixed by the maker. The dependable answer is to plan your move while you still have choices.
Will moving off Panasonic disrupt my business?
